Grace Dianne Burton Murphy and Amma Terrece Sims

These two History Scholars are piecing together the complex history of their Sims family in Oklahoma prior to the Tulsa Massacre. With Burton based in California and Sims in the South, the two remain in constant communication, collaborating on this research. The pair also collaborates on other related topics, including the intersection of the African descendants and Indigenous descendants in United States history and the experiences of both groups individually and together, from the colonial period to contemporary society.
